August Self Defense Update

Hi friends!

If we haven’t met, my name is Matty. I live in Logan Square and I’m the admin/secretary/treasurer/VP of marketing for Basement Self Defense Class. I started organizing these community self defense classes in March with the help of our two brilliant instructors Chi and Aspen.

Exciting news! Aspen and I went on “Welcome to the Show” on Monday to hype up self defense class. It was a dang blast. Aspen showed everyone how to get out of a choke and how to punch correctly. After the show, the kind people at Coach House Plants and Ceremony by Coach House sent us a HUGE donation that will cover our next two classes!

That’s right, our next two classes will be TOTALLY FREE. So if you’d like to join us, feel free to RSVP through this google form. Links to register for September classes will be in the next email.

• Love Aspen’s classes? Drake consulting offers ally and equity trainings on a variety of topics including lgbtqia+ identities, neurodivergence, and shared responsibility leadership.
